Center for Legal Fundamentals, University of Belgrade Faculty of Law and Serbian Association for Legal and Social Philosophy (IVR Serbia) are organizing the 11th International Student Conference in Theory and Philosophy of Law on the topic “Law and Social Sciences”. The Conference will take place on the 12th and 13th of November, 2024 at the Faculty of Law University of Belgrade.

We kindly invite all interested students of undergraduate, master and PhD studies of law and other social sciences to send their abstracts to our official email address – eudaimonia@ius.bg.ac.rs by August 20th, 2024.

Abstracts should be no less than 600 and no more than 900 words in length. Students are free to choose the subtopic of their paper, writing in English or Serbian language, as long as they remain within the general topic proposed in this call. Since the topic of the Conference is broadly set up, the paper can deal with both theoretical and practical issues related to it, such as: interdisciplinary approaches to researching law, naturalism in legal philosophy (scope, justification, limitations), the nature of society and social reality, the nature of social institutions, economic theories of law, investigations into the operation and performance of legal institutions and legal professions, social change, research exploring the psychological factors influencing legal decision-making, attitudes towards the law (normativity), etc.

In addition to the abstract, students should send the contact details of their mentors/supervisors (name, surname, email address).

The selected participants will have to submit the first draft of their papers (8 pages at least) no later than November 5th. Well-rated papers will be published in Eudaimonia – Journal for Legal, Political and Social Theory and Philosophy.
